DIDACTA ITALIA – The Abruzzo edition, hosted at the Lancianofiera exhibition centre in Lanciano (Chieti), welcomed 9,000 visitors, confirming its role as a major event for the education and training sector.

Spanning 15,000 square metres across six pavilions, the event brought together more than 200 exhibitors showcasing innovations and solutions for teaching through workshops, hands-on demonstrations and presentations, as part of a programme featuring 964 events.

Key topics included artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, collaborative methodologies, environmental sustainability and the transformation of learning environments. The Abruzzo Region played a leading role in the event, with a large institutional exhibition space and a rich programme of events, including a specific focus on small schools and the promotion of inland areas.

This edition also paid tribute to Benedetto Croce, the philosopher and historian born in Pescasseroli, in the province of L’Aquila, and one of the leading figures in twentieth-century Italian culture. The event drew inspiration from his celebrated words: “Freedom does not exist in the singular; it exists only in freedoms, in the plural”. His words highlight the importance of dialogue and diversity, essential values for a school system capable of interpreting change and addressing today’s educational challenges.
