The fair
Didacta Italia is the Italian Edition of Didacta International, an event that has been held in Germany for over 60 years. Since 2017, Didacta Italia has turned Florence into the European capital of future school, offering:
- A place to meet and talk about the present and future world of education;
- A meeting point for all the people involved in this sector – schools, companies, institutions, associations, teachers, school managers, and school operators;
- Exhibiting areas dedicated to companies and to the latest news of the school sector;
- Dedicated training rooms.
Firenze Fiera manages the main exhibition centre in Tuscany. The exhibition centre is located in the city centre and covers a surface of over 100,000 square metres that include the Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo dei Congressi, and Palazzo degli Affari.
The National Institute for Documentation, Innovation & Educational Research (INDIRE) is a research organisation of the Italian Ministry of Education. Since nearly 100 years, it that has been a reference point for educational research in Italy.
Didacta International promotes accessibility to education and innovation in education systems, encouraging dialogue between decision-makers and the market. Didacta International organises the fair «Didacta International», along with training events for educators, supporting digital transformation and the sharing of knowledge.

LOCATION
The exhibition is hosted at the Fortezza da Basso, a Renaissance architectural masterpiece built between 1534 and 1537 by order of Alessandro de’ Medici. It is one of the most iconic monuments of Tuscany and Italy in the world. Located at the heart of the Florence city centre, just a 5-minute walk from the main railway station, it is well served by public transportation – buses and tramway – and in a perfect logistic position, with a wide range of parking and accommodation possibilities.
