The National Council of the Order of Psychologists was established by Law No. 56 of 1989. It is composed of the presidents of the Regional Councils, of the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, and of a representative of Section B of the Register. Its role is to represent the profession of psychologist at the national and international levels, to draft and update the Code of Ethics—binding on all registered members—and to submit it for approval by referendum. It oversees compliance with laws and regulations concerning the profession in matters of national relevance, and appoints representatives of the Order to national-level bodies and commissions.

SMART TECHNOLOGY, GROWING MINDS: PSYCHOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES ON AI IN SCHOOLS
During the meeting, key topics will be addressed, including the impact of AI on problem-solving abilities, frustration tolerance, the management of uncertainty, and the development of reflective thinking. The discussion will also explore the risk of excessively assisted learning, in which the speed of responses and the automation of processes may reduce the space for exploration, waiting, making mistakes, and the personal construction of knowledge—elements that are essential for healthy psychological development.
