HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
A term, semester or full academic year abroad—or even just 4 or 8 weeks—with Helkin is more than a study programme: it’s a life-changing experience that supports students at a key stage of their personal and educational growth.
Studying at a high school overseas immerses students fully in the local language and culture, helping them build essential skills such as independence, maturity, problem-solving, adaptability and a global mindset. This authentic experience fosters genuine, lasting bilingualism, giving students a real advantage for university and future careers.
Helkin High School Programs are offered in a variety of international destinations, with enrolment in local schools and accommodation in carefully selected host families or quality boarding schools. Students and families receive continuous support from dedicated staff and tutors, ensuring safety, clear communication and peace of mind throughout the programme.
A Helkin High School Program opens doors to new academic, personal and professional opportunities, helping students expand their international network and develop self-awareness and confidence in planning their future.
LANGUAGE COURSES, MINISTAYS AND EDUCATIONAL TRIPS
Helkin offers immersive language experiences for secondary school students, accompanied by their teachers, during the school year (September–May).
These programmes allow students to practise the language in real-life contexts, consolidate classroom skills, and develop independence, teamwork and motivation through shared group experiences.
Each project is carefully planned with teachers to meet curricular objectives, combining language lessons at accredited schools with cultural activities, guided tours and local experiences.
We also offer FSL pathways, including company visits, thematic workshops and career-oriented activities, as well as the Boarding School Experience, where students live the day-to-day life of an international school for a few days.
Helkin also organises school trips in Italy and abroad: complete, safe and structured learning experiences fully aligned with school curricula.
For us, travelling is not just about moving—it’s about learning through experience.
FSL (School–Work Training Programmes, formerly PCTO)
School–Work Training (FSL) programmes abroad offer upper-secondary students a hands-on learning experience that combines education, career guidance and an international dimension, fully compliant with current Italian regulations.
These programmes transform FSL into a practical and meaningful experience, allowing students to engage with real professional environments and develop transversal, language and interpersonal skills essential for their future.
Programmes are tailored in collaboration with teachers and can include:
– language and professional internships
– company visits and meetings with industry professionals
– workshops on marketing, sustainability, technology, tourism and more
– lessons on workplace language, CV writing and interview simulations
– intercultural activities and group projects
Every FSL experience links classroom learning with the real world, helping students identify their strengths and make decisions about their future.
ERASMUS+
Erasmus+ and PNRR programmes allow schools to offer students and teachers fully funded international mobility experiences integrated into the curriculum.
These projects help improve language skills, explore new learning methods, and engage directly with other European educational contexts, contributing to the development of open-minded, culturally aware citizens.
Helkin supports schools at every stage of the project, managing travel, accommodation, language courses and cultural activities in collaboration with accredited partners holding an OID code, fully complying with Erasmus+ standards.
Programmes can include tailored language courses, on-site educational activities, student internships, job shadowing, and teacher training. Administrative management and fund applications remain the responsibility of the school, while Helkin ensures quality, safety and on-site support, guaranteeing experiences aligned with European guidelines.
