The seventh edition of Didacta Italia 2024 took place in Florence at the Fortezza Da Basso from 20th to 22nd March, seeing a record attendance of visitors and with a pronounced increase of the digital community, that reached 14,600 followers.
In addition to exponentially growing starting figures – 1,780 events and 432 companies from the whole school sector, +26% compared to the 2023 edition - the Fair also saw the presence of thousands of visitors including teachers, school managers, school operators, students, journalists, influencers, and bloggers who crowded the booths to discover the latest novelties and actively participate in the training events organised during the three days, among which seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings.
Didacta Italia 2024 was dedicated to Don Giovanni Bosco (John Bosco), founder of the Salesians, “father and teacher of youths”, in memory of John Paul II.
The absolute novelties of this edition were:
- Didacta opening to the world of university, with a pavilion entirely dedicated to Italian universities, seeing the presence of the Italian Ministry of University and Research. The programme of training events was organised by around thirty Universities and CINECA, with the co-ordination of the Italian Ministry of University and Research and the co-operation of CRUI (Conferenza dei rettori delle università italiane – Conference of Italian University Rectors).
- The area “Musica e suono” (Music & Sound), aimed to all training professionals using instruments and technologies to teach music and to support other school subjects. This new area was set up thanks to a synergy between Didacta Italia and MusicEdu (a leading digital newspaper covering the world of music training and innovation).
